Range of services: logo redesign and company stationary project

Synektik is a renowned Polish company, a supplier of complete medical apparatuses for radiology, including PACS software, which allows radiology clinics / wards to perform diagnostic imagery. The company also services the equipment it sells. Since its establishment, Synektik used the bust of the goddess Psyche as its symbol. Originally, the image of the goddess was in the form of a photograph and was included in all forms of advertisement, including the logo, which created difficulties during its exposition.

Jointly with Synektik we decided to uphold the tradition and keep Psyche in the logo; for this purpose we utilized the original Psyche figurine provided to us by the customer. We made a series of photographs featuring the goddess. Of the dozen or so images we chose those that we believed offered the best arrangement possibilities and would harmonize best with the logo. When choosing images we also took another aspect under consideration – we wanted the logo to disclose the core of Synektik’s field of activities – providing equipment and services linked with x-ray research. In simple words we wanted the logo to include the motif of a cross-section of the human body, which is why the goddess was photographed from above. This is to symbolize the cross-section.

The logo itself is illustrative and subtly refers to the style of an etching, dominating visually over the name of the company – contrasting with the image of the goddess. The name itself is modern with characteristic missing depletions over the "K" letters. The whole creates a well-knit composition, incorporating both the company’s history and the modernity of technological solutions used by Synektik.
